We try our best to make every tool and equipment available to make this process go faster. We are here at your disposal and are completely flexible to your schedule. Whether you prefer to do work at home or at the office, we will accommodate. Our goal is to accomplish this as soon as possible. Speed is our number two priority, after quality.
Client will sign the attorney client retainer agreement and submit the retainer deposit. This step can be completed in person or electronically by email. A driver's license is required. Client may also consult with attorney any concerns that may hinder or delay the proceedings. (5 min)
Next is the intake. We will have you diligently fill out our intake forms. These forms request basic stuff such as your address as well as how you and your spouse have decided to split or arrange for certain terms. It's important to fill these sections out completely and accurately to not delay the process. This section can be completed in person or electronically by email. (30 min-1 hour)
This is the attorney review and processing stage. Our attorney will quickly review the information contained in the intake and unless there are questions, will immediately begin drafting the joint petition documents. It's important to keep an eye out for your phone or email at this time to not miss any messages. During this time parties with children can take the co-parenting seminar online course or obtain their signed affidavit from their resident witness. (30 min-1 hour)
Next is client review. Once our attorney completes the drafting you will have the opportunity to do a quick review and revision. This can be completed in person or electronically by email. (15 min)
After revisions are completed, all parties will then proceed to execute the documents. This can be done in person or at the parties' chosen locale. If done at the office, a mobile e-notary can be available. (10 min)
Once the attorney receives back all properly signed and notarized documents, they will immediately be electronically filed with the district court. You will receive a notice by text or email once they are signed by the judge. = total of 2 hours and 20 minutes
